How do you thread a Bernina sewing machine?

First, you need to know how to thread the needle. Thread the needle on the sewing machine to be used to the side with the bobbin thread. Then thread the needle onto the bobbin thread. Pull the needle through until it is close to the stitching. When you’re done, snip the threads off the needle and bobbin.

Keeping this in view, why isn’t my sewing machine catching the bobbin thread?

For a few reasons. Threads can wrap around hook-less needles. You know about the pinwheel thread and the wrong type of thread and have a small, but non-existent bobbin thread. Threads can be tangled in the looper, if your machine doesn’t have a lock-up hook.
